Was this all a sham? Was the return of the high waist just good 'in theory'? I mean, when something even looks bad on Mishha Barton, we are all doomed! I know Jessica Simpson has packed on a few pounds lately, but even she doesn't deserve a front butt. I'm going to think twice before I sport my new pair. Or at least hope there are no cameras around.

eww.. thats all I can say. Some high-waisted skirts or pants look good, but those ones are gross. They shouldn't wear pants that make them look pregnant!
i don't know how i like the pants... but i'm feeling the high wasted skirts... if people don't get the 'front-butt'
Dear PS,
Having seen you in high-wasted pants, I can honestly say that you can pull them off better than either of these two! You should be proud...
Hey TPS,
Where are you? Are you on Vacation? Just checking on you because didn't see post recently ...let us know whats happening ...I love your blog which is very informative and interesting...

I fear this trend toward the high waist... grandma jeans! I like high waists on dress slacks (without the front butt); they can evoke that whole Katherine Hepburn glamour.
I saw a few picture from fashion week of models looking heinous in high wasted pants. But, then there was a great picture of Maggie Gyllenhaal rocking high wasted pants.
the problem with mischa's look is that she paired the jeans with an old t-shirt....if she were sporting a camisole and heels with those jeans i dont think they'd look half bad. similarly, jessica looks a bit like a stuffed sausage because she's poured herself into a tight white turtleneck and lightly colored jeans...if jess was wearing a darker and more flattering fit with a cute top she'd be fine. seven jeans ginger high-waisters are amazing on everyone and if you don't want to do the high-waist, untuck your top. you'll still get the modern look of the wide-leg!
